An evening with Prof. George Whitesides  The local Vancouver Section of the CIC, in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry at SFU and NSERC, are pleased to announce "An evening with Prof. George Whitesides" will be held on the evening of Sept. 19th, 2016 at SFU Vancouver's Segal Center (in Harbour Center at 515 West Hastings Street). The event will commence at 6:00 PM with a presentation by Prof. Whitesides followed by a networking mixer. An exceptional award-winning research career will be the backdrop of Prof. Whitesides examination of the development and trends in the field of chemistry. He will discuss areas of opportunity, including in nanotechnology, and the emergence of new fields. Areas of science that are facing periods of maturation and reinvention will be highlighted. Refreshments will be provided.
